I am fortunate that I have a jumping and dressage saddle (dressage saddle I've just purchased) so rather than swopping stirrups each time I'd like a second pair of decent stirrups. I currently have the Sprenger Bow Balance on my jump saddle which I love! I broke my ankle years ago and used the have the black flexi irons and always had knee or ankle pain after a long ride but I don't get that at all in these.

I'm looking for a pair for my jump saddle if anyone recommends and good for jumping and I'll put these on my dressage saddle or vice versa. I could buy a second pair of Bow Balance but wasn't sure what others recommend for knee/ankle pain?

I know Flexons are raved about. I borrowed a friends for jumping a few weeks back and my knees did hurt afterwards but not sure if that's because stirrups were too short or I need to get used to them.

Safestyle Composites, I'm beyond impressed with the regular metal ones for flatwork. And around £100 so not super expensive.

Also consider that knee and ankle pain isn't generally best addressed with flexi stirrups etc. I know they absolutely work for some, but they do introduce instability, and I don't personally recommend them. A 90 degree stirrup can help for sure, but it may be worth examining how well your saddle really works for you, but also how well your body is working on the horse overall. I recommend Rider Reboot and then ridden biomechanics for most riders, a period of intense help can be transformative for pain and discomfort, as well as effectiveness.
