Stirrups for showing? posted in TR but no replys

Hi all.
So at show last weekend I swopped my cheese graters for regular stirrup irons & just didn't feel as secure as I do in my cheese graters - Is it possible to find metal irons with very grippy treads?

Cant seem to find non "plastic" cheese graters anywhere..
