i was thinking in investing in some joint stirrups that are more shockabsorbant etc such as the Sprenger.. I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with these, which makes are recommended and which are the cheapest but still work

Hi, i have a cheaper version cost about £20 and they are great. I used to suffer really bad ankle knee pain, and now no problems. I couldnt justify pending £90 and luckily these work just as well. Also if they dont last as long they are not expensive to replace.

I got my spregers at 14... 4 years ago, so they are still going strong... I didn't really have a problem, but they definatly help me get my toes in... They used to stick out before. They are very comfy, though you can't 'feel' them move so they don't feel unstable or anything. There are cheaper designs but I can't comment on the quality of them, I'm happy with the sprengers.

I have a pair of bendy cheap copies which are ok, but still got knee pain. Got some thorowgood ones on my jump saddle, and no more pain! Really recommend them... alot cheaper than the sprengers too.....

I have Sprengers, I didn't want to get cheaper ones incase they were rubbish, then I'd have to replace them anyway. I really like them, I've not had any knee or ankle pain where I had it really bad before.

I have the Sprenger bow balance, love them! As with anything I woudl rather but one good thing that lasts than go through 10 cheaper ones!

Ive heard bad things about SOME of the very cheap ones, like the springs/joints breaking etc, but there are still plenty of good cheaper ones out there I think!
