Again, CRAP dressage judging.. so i wont even go into that!!!
Apart from, the STUPID writer for the judge who thought that a good time to wave her hand out the window shaking a bell, would be right as i'm trotting up to the car (intro = baby horses) so she scares the life out of poor Socks who then wont go anywhere near the car
Socks did a green test but nothing wrong to score a 37, with a crap mark for our entry and a comment saying " reluctant to face C".. well you tell me why that is then!!!
ShowJumping.. was really pleased with this, he did have one down, but it was the smallest fence in there, and i don't think he felt it needed any effort
XC, Started out fab!! he really has learnt to go forwards and is taking everything on
that is untill he got to fence 9.. 9 was an abc of steps up, he jumped up 'a' and 'b' fine but just infront of 'c' was a rather large puddle which he wouldn't go anywhere near (having done the actual water fine)
Anyway, the fence judge was great and gave me more than enough time, but i just couldn't get him anywhere near it.. so he has a big 'E' by his name!! not good for when i try to sell him properly
Anyway, next up Orla...
Dressage, Orla is the origional dressage queen and kept up to this standard today, doing what i thought was a fab test!! again the judge disagreed and gave us a 36
(this horse has done 24 dressage before, and i thought did a better test today), anyway, we'll gloss over that.. (the judge wrote 'rather tense' for the long rein walk.. Orla couldn't do 'tense' if you shoved a bomb up her arse)..
ShowJumping
She was Fab
and is really starting to understand this whole jumping game, and gave me a fab clear round!!
XC, well i said i was going to bat for England all the way round, and i did.. but i didn't have to as much as i thought i would, and she jumped the dreaded fence 4 (the one that was taken out for the PN, and was only slightly smaller for the intro)
She hasn't quite got the idea of XC yet, not really understanding how to gallop into fences.. so she got 8 time faults..
Anyway, a double clear with an ok dressage and a few too many time faults was still good enough for 8th place.. Good girl Orla!!
