Stocks/Ties ???? Help!

Can someone please explain to me when it is correct to wear a tie and when to wear a stock.
Also what colours are usually worn for difference disciplines please.
I am confused!

Hi,

Ties are correct for showing classes - colours to match browband (if riding horse class or show hunter but not workers) or jacket.

Stocks are more correct for dressage but people can wear ties if they wish.

For Jumping you can get away without wearing a stock if you have one of the collars that goeas around your stick shirt (some people have their names embroidered on these)
