I'm thinking of going to a residential camp in March - has anyone been and can you tell me what to expect?

I'm in Cornwall so I don't know if her owner will fancy driving me all the way up there (how far is it do we think? 2 hours?) are there many people who are not riding up there? I asked J this morning and she said that she might tie in a visit to some friends but I was wondering if there were many non riders hanging about.

I haven't been to the camps but I have been schooling and to many comps there and the facilities are lovely. I've heard good things about the camps from other people.

I reckon that it will take you a good hour (maybe 1.5hrs) from Exeter to get there (we come from the other direction so hard to tell), but its 20mins or so from M5 Jctn 24. So if you know how far you are from Exeter you can work it out.

Pontispool are closer to you (at Taunton), and I think they are running camps next year too.
 
I should think it would be longer than 2 hours, PM LizzieJ she will nag you into going (though she hasn't mentioned it to me for at least a week!)

Pontispool camps are not until May, and I really wanted to go away earlier because work will be getting busy in May, and I have some holiday to take up before the end of March

I've heard a few "Cornwall locals" go and really rate it. I'd love to go, but just can't afford the time or money.
They should offer scholarships! Although, I'm not entirely sure what criteria they could possibly use that would allow me to win one!
I got the impression that a lot of "ground crew" tend to be around, for some if not all the time.
