Could he have just gone looking for mares? An uncut 18 month old is certainly going to be up for a bit of chancing his arm with the girls and having watched a stallion jump a 5 foot wall with an 8 foot drop on the other side to get to a mare, it takes quite alot to keep them apart when they are feeling fruity.
