Ifor Williams HB505,blue trailer stolen. It was taken was taken from the field just off Sladd Lane Wolverley, between the hours of Monday 21/09/09 5:00pm - Tuesday 22/09/09 10:00am. A local man was coming back from singing at a club, he claimed that he saw a 4x4 pulling a trailer up Sladd Lane at 4:30am Tuesday morning. But couldnt identify the 4x4. They had forced the padlock off the gate and also forced the wheel lock off the right hand back wheel. The trailer is as new inside with very clean interior, outside there is a small tear on left mudguard at the rear. (were leadrope got caught). On top of right mudguard there are a few scratches from horses hoof. There is a Cotswold sticker on it. Every wheel has a locked wheel nut on it including spare.

A couple of years ago, we had an IW (not horse) flat trailer stolen and it was clamped and we had a security cable across the gate.

We think that they were after the IW horse trailer, but as it had a Bulldog clamp, they decided to take the small trailer.
We now have both trailers, T Clamped. That is, with metal T Clamps put into concrete, which go into the V of the trailers.
We have also installed electronic gates. You have to slow the buggers down I think.

I totally empathise with you as, prior to the above, we had a brand new Rice trailer nicked and it was clamped; although not on our premises.

I often wonder who buys these???
