Not sure if I should post this but here goes. Our local pony club has had an ifor williams flat trailer loaded with a full set of plastic jumps stolen from a field where they held their last rally. I'm not involved in pony club but my daughter is working at the farm they were stolen from which is how we know. Hope I am not doing the wrong thing posting this but thought it would help.

mmm - that seems to be a new 'thing' 'cos a couple of months ago Elstead RC in Surrey lost all their new plastic showjumps worth about £2k

so if you've got nice new plastic jumps I think it is becoming clear that they are very nickable

Near Prees. I wondered if they might turn up at Beeston tomorrow, but probably a bit too close to home. Could be anywhere now I suppose. Bit worried about our trailer too as we are in the same area.

I would bet it was the trailer they were after, we had our car and flat Ifor williams trailer stolen last november, then last month my friend had their stolen with the WH jumps on it, they found a wing here and followed the trail to an industrial estate where they found the trailer hidden behind some scrap lorries in a yard.
Hope they find it soon.

I reckon they'll appear on ebay within three months...
Or in Adtrader..
All they need to do is keep their eye out, but unless they have marked them, not a lot of chance of proving they are theirs.
Thanks for the warning, I'm going to go and mark ours with black marker pen, being plastic they should keep the dye forever..

Yeh, quite likely just the trailer they were after, it was apparently pretty new. Without offending anyone, there were some travellers parked up locally who have now moved on..... The police have a description of the vehicle used, a light blue twin cab 4 wheel drive, but haven't had any luck tracing it, or haven't tried! I don't really know any more, as I said in my original post, not involved with pony club but knew about the theft cos my daughter was working at the farm. A report of the theft appeared in the local paper on Thursday, 10 days after it was stolen, so not exactly red hot news!
