GRRRRR!!! My two bridles were stolen this week , along with a headcollar with shank chain and a wintec....and my shavings fork!!

I know worse things are stolen but for pure inconvenience - I need the chain to lead my boxrest horse, and the bridles to ride..and also monetary value and sentimental value, also bits of them were hard to get hold of.

They are distinctive and I have photos of everypart of them being worn, but sadly only a few receipts and invoices for insurance claim.

If anyone is in the SE and wants to be sherlock at shows please say and I can describe, lets hope I get a call form the police to attend one of those tack recovery days...

Do you know any dealers etc locally?
When we have been robbed we tour Lincolnshire letting everyone know. We have always got it back. We visit the travellers and dodgy dealers, make it too hot to sell. We had all our tack stolen once and it was dumped in a river. A fisherman found a bridle and we fished the rest out.
Don't leave it to the Police.

Yes get everywhere and tell everyone. It realy does work. We have been robbed a few times and found it works. If word gets our that you are on the tracks peole won't buy it and will turn up somewhere.
Once someone broke in our house filled our horse trailer and took the lot. We were hot on heels. A few days later the trailer and all our stuff was left just up the road - packed very neatly.
All the police have ever asked is "Are you insured?"
Don't be afraid to let the world know. It makes me so angry.
You don't realise what you have until it is gone.
I now have leather punches to put our details on all leatherwork.
I am still lapse at keeping details, i never learn!
I do feel for you. It is a horrible feeling.
