Well second day barefoot, sound on our in hand walk on the roads!
But we did have rather an impressive collection of gravel / small stones in her white line. I picked them all out, some were quite deep so i applied farriers formula disinfectant. Is there something better available that i should be applying?

Great news re sound.

Re white line - never found the need to treat with anything. Over time if you can grow in a tight white line the problem of stones will disappear.

I always treat with disinfectant { can not remember the name} when the holes are big, as i find if left untreated white line disease will set in.

Mine just gets small stones in now - some are so minute they're difficult to see, but I always try and get them out. Now and again, I just brush some iodine onto them, or some 3% hydrogen peroxide. I've had one abscess in just under 18 months barefoot, but I do tend to use boots on the fronts for on the roads. Anyone any different suggestions for disinfectant solutions?
