Does anyone have any experiance with these? I have never heard of them, but just done a quote and they are only £22.00 per month rather than £37.00 at petplan!

I use these and have used them for over 2 years. I claimed once when my horse had a field accident, he went to hospital but unfortunately couldnt be saved. Stoneways had no problems paying my claim and even paid £500 towards stable fees at the hospital. I would definitely recommend them and havent heard anything detrimental about them. Hope this helps.

Some years ago my sister had her horse insured with them and they paid very quickly for surgery to mare's leg, then subsequent loss of use and then sadly for death when she died foaling so yes, would def recommend them!

Thumbs up from me too! They paid out for our boy. I was only insured with them for 3 weeks too! Paid £25.00 per month. Then Last Dec 2010 renewal went up to £36. a month and they paid the vets pretty quickly too as they dealth directly with them. As Charlies claim was for arthritus in his back legs, I aonly ever paid one lot of xs and they paid each claim

Unlike the dare I say claim with my dog with the dreaded E&L which took them 6 months to settle.

I'm with Stoneways because it is the cheapest option for my mare and because I've heard good stories about them paying up when needed. I haven't yet (touchwood) needed to use the cover but I can certainly recommend them from the customer service prospective.
