Stoneways Insurance

As my current insurers are putting the most ridiculous exclusion ever on my horse, which none of the other 'biggies' (NFU/SEIB/Shearwater etc) have any intention of doing, KBIS are about to lose my business.

In my research for new policies, Stoneways came up on a google search and initially seem to be considerably cheaper than everyone else, by about £200.

Has anyone insured with them? Does anyone know of them? Who are they?! I takE it they are nothing Like another insurance company I could mention but won't (except obliquely

Several years ago my sister had her horse insured with Stoneways and they were excellent. Paid up for lots of vet stuff and an operation and then loss of use when it became apparent she was never going to be sound enough to jump again. I remember that they were very prompt paying and efficient on the phone and also very sympathetic when sadly she died foaling and yes they paid up for death as well! (And no, I don't work for them!)

I too have had an excellent experience with them. Pony went to Leahurst and had no issues ref them paying.
