Well basically, every night, we let the dogs out in the garden (to do their business) and my Collie barks constantly. Baring in mind this is a 10pm -10:30pm, so neighbors have complained but I can't stop her from barking.

I've tried many things, such as throwing a ball//Frisbee to distract her and giving her treats when she doesn't bark, yet she continues.

It's really starting to get annoying as this has been happening for almost 2years now. :(
So does anyone have any ideas on how to stop this peskey Collie from barking??

Thank you :D

Can't take her out on the lead, as she won't do her business.

But if it helps she is a very protective dog,, eg; she barks at strangers and other dogs.

I'll look into it, I want a safe way that won't harm my collie.

She's an angel inside but as soon as she goes outside *boom* loud, loud barking!

My 2 haven't been harmed! and would never do anything that would harm them!, I don't like dogs barking all the time and i don't see why I should make other people suffer!, just wish the woman who lives next door would do something with her dogs who bark constantly! all day!

An air spray might be better.
You say she is protective, dogs aren't always protective of humans, but protective of themselves IE insecure, some dogs, anti-bark collars can actually make them worse IE they start barking at the spray or the buzz from the battery pack.
She could also be barking because she is highly strung and excited, and again the collar could act as a stimulation rather than a correction.
I am not anti-bark collars or any tool per se, but without knowing the dog's personality type I would always err on the side of caution.

What is she barking at? My rescue (had her 3 mths) is very vocal- she barks when she's excited, scared, guarding etc etc. She likes to 'shout' in your face when she wants to go out for a walk (she's excited). I have been trying to teach her the quiet command which works to a degree when she wants a ball throwing, she's improved. However, it wasn't working when we were getting ready to go for a walk - she would bark constantly until she was actually out.

However, last weekend I tried something new as she started shouting at me in the front room as she knew it was near walk time. Well, I took hole of her collar and removed her from the room whilst saying "OUT!". She could get back in via another door but, i did this twice and she stopped the behaviour (she does not want to be removed from people).

I then did the same when I was getting ready for the walk andagain removed her from where I was and said "OUT". Since then she has not done it again! I am quite amazed.

Therfore I. W would maybe try similar with yourds - if she barks, get hold of her and take her IN. When she's quite let her out. If she barks the put her IN and repeat it. Mine is some sort of collie/kelpie cross too and she learmt very quickly the barking was not behaviour I wanted!

I could try that, Thank you!
Really, I don't know what she is barking at, she just always barks but ONLY when we let her out at night and at strangers, apart from that she is a very quiet lovable dog!
