stop my horse getting fatter

my horse is so fat its untrue hes out of work at the moment because of injury my field is strip grazed but he kept jumping the fenceing not good for his injury so i muzzle him during the day at night he is stabled with one section of hay soaked for eight hour a handfull of chaff just for his supplements really cant put him in the stable for to long as a major door kicker again not good for his injury cant put a bar up as hes a lump and just takes them of the wall please and advice would be gratefull and he in the field on his own at the moment again because of injury
 
I think you should try the 'paddock paradise' system set up by Jamie Jackson. You can find it if you type it in google.
instead of making the restricted grazing into a strip, you make it into a narrow track around the edge of your existing field or just into a circle. Place the water, hay, etc at different places around the track so your horse has to go from place to place, the horse is still on restricted grazing but the moving causes them to eat less and lose weight. If you have trees or trotting poles etc you can set it up so they are placed around making it more stimulating causing the horse to move more.
I have just set up a track for 2 of mine, one who is a Laminitic and the other horse who has EMS, neither are in work at the moment. Although its only the third day they are moving around loads and hopefully it'll really benefit them.
