Padlock it to a D ring, then they can't nick your saddle as well 
Speak to the YO though, it's not on for them to be taking your stuff like that, they should have their own.

Someone kept taking my girth at one point! The saddle was YO's but I bought the girth as the one that came with the saddle almost snapped (thankfully when I wasn't riding! We saw it in time, before it became a problem).
YO was as cross as I was, it meant that no one could ride Ned, as the other girths were too small or too big :\
I think YO must have had a 'word' with everyone as it very suddenly stopped!
