I've clearly been spoilt by my previously clean, dry and spacious tack room but I've just had to move stables on the same yard and now have a TINY tack room which leaks and is covered in slug slime :(

I have bought a few large plastic boxes but am still struggling to store everything cleanly and dryly - any tips?

Does anyone here store rugs inside your stable? There's no room to store rugs at the front of the stable, but I've noticed that some of the stables have internal rug racks - does anyone do this? I was always told that you shouldn't keep rugs in the stable?

We store the rugs that we have in use in our stables. We have fold flat rug rails (quite high up on the wall). Currently they have lightweight turnouts, sweet itch hoodies and stable fleeces on them, so the rail is well padded/hidden. They do get dusty though, and I wouldn't store clean ones that way.

When we had DIYs, some of them hung strings across the walls (again high up) and hung even more rugs on them.

Thanks, I may try the string idea!
