My horse broke our storage box, I think he stupidly somehow managed to sit on it (he is stabled in a foaling sized box- there is plenty of room for the box by the way!) . It was a cream one with a green lid, made of plastic. From somewhere like Homebase. I think we may need to get something slightly more robust, anyone have any recommendations?

I think he is trying to tell you he would like a seat in his large stable!

I got a large green box from B&Q

I use a wooden toy box. It wasn't much, £19.99 I think, I can't imagine myself paying anymore than that anyway! It's lovely and sturdy, huge, currently holding 5 winter t/o's, towels, a couple of sheets, a duvet and other odds and sods, such as brushes I don't use, haynets, likkits and such like and there's still room to spare....

I'll ask hubby when he gets home where it came from.

Right....apparantly we got it from Argos, there isn't one on the site the same, they seem taller and squarer whereas mine's about knee high, 3ft wide and 6 feet long.

There are some cheapish ones but I'm not sure of your requirements;

This

A bit more expensive

i got mine from Greenfingers.co.uk it's a gardening shop so stuff is slightly cheaper than horsey shops.
I got an outside storage box that has wheels,it's great for storing rugs and travel boots
