We are using a 7 seater Suv to tow my Ifor Williams 506, but when the back seats are in use I have hardly any boot space, especially as I have to carry a buggy too.

Does anyone use a garden box in the spare side of the trailer for tack and if so, how do they secure it? I'm worried a box would slide under the partition. I have hooks at the front of the trailer for bridles etc, and I use a stubbs saddle mate but again that would nee to be secured.

Any handy tips?

You should be able to secure it to the breast bar and maybe to the back of the partition using bungees - the bigger the box the better as it will travel better. We had a forward facing 7.5tonne lorry with stalls for 3 and used to keep all her gear in the far stall as the saddle took up most of the tack locker.
Depending on the sort of trailer, you might be able to put bungees low down around the partition framework to secure the bottom of the box.
