I know it is probably a long shot, but has anyone any experience of their horse being allergic to storage or forage mites, to give them their correct name - Acarus siro -

This has caused my mare's lungs to be sensitised and therefore caused a bad cough. So she is off hard feed from today and vet is getting back to me on getting special vacuum-packed oats/or oats balancer to feed her instead.
Would be interesting to see if anyone else has come across this allergy
