I am trying to tidy up my tackroom which is long and narrow and quite small. I would love to have an efficient way of piling up used numnahs in a wash bag and wash a load together and grab a clean numnah in place of the dirty one. Do you store yours on a shelf or hang them up somehow? Is there a good way of storing a wash bag of dirty numnahs other than dumped on the floor? Any tips gratefully received.

Clean normal ones are stacked in a pile on a truck of tack bits. Clean sheepskin ones (which can't be stored flat or they will crack over time) go on top of a saddle pod currently housing a spare GP I must get around to selling and a bareback pad. Dirty ones (and dirty anything else unless it smells) go in a heavy duty "life" bag from a major supermarket chain tucked under the saddles wall mounted on bulldog racks. That goes home every week or so - or when full - to be washed.

and if I am as organized as this makes me sound... where are all my clean ones?

Clean ones live in one of those Ikea big bags. Dressage white ones go straight back in there orginal plastic bags and live in the box, so that they are ready for next outing. Dirty ones live in a bag for life (I normally wash when there are 3)

Numnahs live on the saddle rack, under the saddle. We usually come back so grubby/sweaty that they only do one wear. When I untack, the numnah goes in bag to be washed once the bag gets full enough and hey presto! A shiny clean numnah already under the saddle ready for our next outing!
