Yes. Our mare has far too many rugs but cant bear to get rid of any. I think they're great and it means no white hairs get anywhere too. I got a multipack so store some rugs seperately then can fit 4 mw rugs in larger ones. Only advice would be get good quality ones not the cheap ones.
We use them for duvets and sleeping bags and they're fab, so I don't see why not. You don't even have to hoover them - they go really flat if you just squash all the air out..
I have used them for ski wear and duvets/pillow and they are great. However get decent ones as on the cheaper ones the plastic zip clips just fall off and it's very annoying to use them.
Don't you find it ruins the warmth? I thought rugs, duvets, etc got their warmth from the air trapped between the layers of polyester wadding inside. Certainly old rugs that have gone flat don't seem as warm :/
Thats what we do with the duvets - lay them out on the bed, give them a good shake and leave them a bit to plump up..
I guess that it could perhaps squash a rug as its synthetic, but if you don't flatten them absolutely flat it should be fine. Just to push all the air that gets folded between them makes a lot of room anyway..
ps, most new rugs come packaged fairly flat anyway..
I don't think so if they're squashed flat for any length of time :/ I've found stable rugs to go flat over the years from normal use, takes a long time though. Oh well, I won't be experimenting with mine, was surprised people were suggesting it that's all.
The only thing you MUST remember.....make sure the rug is absolutely bone dry.....not a drop of moisture....or you will come to get your rug to find it full of mould spores!
