Blimey!!! Anyone else got this thunderstorm?? Reckon its the biggest I've ever seen! Starting to wonder if its actually world war three out there. Hope the horses are ok in the field!

The rain is welcome though .

Hit north Bristol about 20 mins ago and hasn't stopped yet, variety of sheet lightning, distant thunder now closer, feeling sick with worry about the horse but welcome for the rain even if it is a tad heavy...

Making a cup of tea to take my mind off it!

I'm in Gloucestershire and its been rattling around here for a few hours but no rain! I am currently living in a tent in the back garden and sleep is proving difficult. Think its quieting down a bit now, so hopefully I will be able to get some sleep before my alarm goes off in a few hours.

Had a house fire twelve days ago Not able to use any rooms in house except kitchen/dining room until insurance have assessed all the damage. Luckily we didn't get much rain.

Still going here too. Woke up to a clap of thunder at 3 am and been awake since.

Big lightning here like an hour ago but it's moved off now a wee bit, so I've deemed it safe to turn on and use electronic devices like the hob and toaster.

We have the thunder clouds hanging overhead here now, but no thunder yet. Just waiting for it though ......
