Don't know if there is anything in Guinness et al that would make a horse fail a dope test - but could be a reason why not done as mine don't compete at that level the certainly get a wee dram for Xmas, New Year and birthdays

Breeze always had a pint at Christmas in her dinner. I was also told by my vet to give her a can a day when I got her as she was in poor condition. They also like murphys - as do I as it is a bit sweeter.
