My 19 yr old Welsh cob has recently torn his straight sesamoidean ligament which has herniated into his tendon sheath. He has undergone surgery to have the damaged area removed. He is now back home and starting his lengthy recovery. I am just wondering if anyone else's horse has suffered this injury, and any information on their recovery would be greatly appreciated. I've been told it's a rare injury and there is very little information on the Internet in relation to it. Many thanks in advance!
