My (injury prone) horse has strained a tendon in his hock (sorry, dont know the name) - on the outside of the leg, where a throughpin would be... he is sound in walk, but not in trot
He has been prescribed anti-inflamatories by the vet and some gel to put on the area, 3 weeks rest (he is allowed out in a small paddock, since he only goes out mornings anyway and would box walk if left in when all the others went out) and see how it goes from there...
I have been using magnetic hock boots for about an hour a day and have some pressure boot things on the way....
Has anyone had experience of this? Any tips to help recovery or prevent recurrence?
