Strange Advert??? Would you be offended?

I can't remember what category the advert was in, but I came across a share advert on NewRider and it was posted by a girl who was sharing a horse, but said "i am buying one and i am not 100% sure, but i think the owner would love another sharer for the horse so i am writing this on her behalf"
If this advert was by anyone on HHO, I am not having a dig at them, I just thought it strange!!!! Would you be offended etc if this was yourself?
 
A bit miffed yes! Not sure why though as Im sure she means well! I suppose, if it was my horse, I would feel shes treading on my toes a bit! What if the owner doesnt want another sharer? But she might find someone really nice and save the owner a lot of hassle! I hope she asked the owner first!

Sure the girl means well BUT a horse si the property and responsability of the owners-who rides/handles them is completly up to the owners and nothing to do with a sharer.
I always feel a little uncomftable as a sharer because I belive that, could only comment on something if directly asked or if it was a welfare issue.
Does she even know the owners want another sharer??
Hope she asjed them first....
 
I would be seriously annoyed, but I suspect this girl is quite young and just wants to help out her friend, or maybe even feels guilty at leaving her friend 'in the lurch'
 
No, she said that she isn't sure the owner wants another sharer, she just thought she would have someone ready incase the owner does. I can't remember it exactly but she described the horse according to her viewpoint but I just don't think a sharer's opinion of a horse would be as.. accurate as the owners.
 
when i was a teenager and doing exams, the YO of the place my horse was offered MY HORSE on loan to her friend, and gave her a trial ride on him! I was LIVId as i didnt want to loan him out and dont let other people ride my horse!
she sadi she thought she was doing me a favour as i didnt have enough time to ride...i moved right off
