The yard i work on has a Thoroughbred and welsh pony, both mares, they both wear headcollars in the field and are in a field directly above the house. They keep their headcollars on because the owner's dad has trouble getting them in (non horsey) anywayy...
i mucked out yesterday morning and grabbed the pony for my daughter to have a ride and she had no headcollar on which was unusual , and left the TB in the field with her headcollar on, apparently she had it on when turned out at 8am ( was 9.30am now) so we assumed lost in the field, rode Welshie, popped her back in field at 1pm and TB had her headcollar on, owner brought them in at 5pm and Tb had no headcollar on now! He assumed I took it off, went out there today and searched the whole field and no headcollars.
Very strange for them both to lose them, and location is directly near house and no passerbys! STRANGE!!
