As some of you know i lost my old dog ben 2 years ago, when we had him PTS for the next few nights myself and hubby heard him downstairs. I never told my hubby as i thought i was going mad lol :) anyway once his ashes came back we never heard anything again. Gizmo always goes up to his ashes and gives him a sniff :)

My hubby has been ill all last week and in the middle of the night got up to get his tablets so i went to the toilet, i looked up and saw ben standing behind my hubby wagging his tail, before anyone says you were asleep i can tell you I was wide awake. I blinked and he had gone but gizmo never really settled and went and laid next to my bed where ben would of been if he had still been with us.
I told my hubby about it all the next morning and i said " you know why he is here its because of all the xmas presents are in the corner " ( he loved opening presents and we had to hide them from him as he opened them all up early :) ) i then said i would of had a heart attack in the night if they all went over, myself and hubby were sat in bed talking and the next think they go over :) :) .

I always knew he was about lets just hope ghost dogs cannot open xmas presents or i will have to lock them away again !!!

I had my dog put down nearly five weeks ago. She was put down on the Monday and on the Saturday I felt her get on the bed with me, no you're not mad xx

I believe you and the events that happened.

My old Border Collie was PTS and quite a few times I had fallen asleep on the sofa and was wakened to her nudging my arm - which she would do to wake me so she could her her night biscuit.
One evening I had nodded off and my Lurcher came down the stairs and stopped. I woke to him wingeing and automatically called the old dog's name whereby the Lurcher came down the last steps and stood looking into the kitchen. This had been a normal thing where the old girl would not let the young dog down the stairs.

There have been several incidents with my dogs that have passed over and visited me weeks after they have gone.

I have a psychic friend, and we were at a mutual friend's funeral, where he was able to describe several dogs he could see sat round the coffin. His widow said they were all the different dogs he'd owned through childhood and into adulthood.

I believe you too an dknow you are not mad. I made a similar post about 8 weeks ago and got lots of similar replies.
I had my old dog pts suddenly after a very quick painful back condition suddenly deteriorated.
I was inconsolable - I saw him two days after he died and that night felt him jump onto my bed. Teh same night my teenage daughter had also felt him jump on her bed.
It comforted me so much once I relaised i wasnt mad and it was him -I thanked him and told him I felt so better for him coming ot us and he should now go to Rainblow Bridge to wait for me - I so so know he is there now, happy, knowing we feel better till we meet again :D

Thank you everyone, i had a very special bond with him as he was thrown out of a moving car at about 1 year old, we then found out he had hip displasia and my vet said he didnt think i would have him after his 5th dirthday :( we PTS him at 18 years old and it wasnt his legs that let him down, he never really needed any medication really i just managed his routine. He was such a loyal dog and he is now showing how loyal he is sticking around.

I lost my childhood dog to heart failure last year after owning her for 15yrs. She had many quirks and would touch her nose on your leg if she was stood behind you. For 2 days after she left at feed time I would feel her touch my leg and whine. Unless I had witnessed it I wouldnt of believed it

you are not mad, my champion borzoi died of bone cancer, I saw him in the garden for several days after that, He also appears a few days before I lose another animal, almost as if he is waiting for them. I often catch sight of his wagging tail, always just out the corner of my eye.

They never leave us, they stay with us.

darkhorse123 - this is very similar to what a psychic told me recently. I lost my mum (aged 97 - she had me late in life!!!) just over a year ago an I had a pschic reading in July. This woman knew NOTHING about me and I told her nothing. She immediately told me about an elderly woman standing behind me tellling me that I was working too hard, I should slow down etc etc - this was exactly what my mum would say to me! Psychic said if I wanted to know she was around me, I should think of her, study a photo of her, speak to her and, for a sign, turn on the TV or radio and whatever I heard would relate to her. I haven't tried it yet, but I will!

Also, several years ago, I had another reading. Again, the psychic knew nothing about me and all I wanted was a "general" reading. She said before she could start the reading, she had to tell me of the DOZENS of animals who had rushed up to thank me for looking after them - from horses to gerbils! Told her I'd never owned a gerbil, but had had lots of hamsters...."Okay!" she laughed "Horses to hamsters!" ! What were the chances of her "reading" for someone who had owned, and lost, horses? Yup, I really believe they're all still around in spirit! (And, no, I didn't go to the reading covered in hay and smelling of horses!)
