Our cob has suddenly developed some strange holes on her near flank... when you run your hand over it it feels like she is covered in lots of small lumps but when you lift up the hair there are actually holes in her skin, the largest of which is about 5mm across. They are quite regular and round, have no scabs and are sort of bowl shaped. It looks like something is eating her flesh!! We have washed it with anti fungal wash and vet is coming on Friday anway for vaccs but just curious to know if anyone has any ideas what it is? She is being isolated just in case it's something contagious but noone at the yard has seen anything like it before!!
