Strange object found in horses poo

I Need Help!!

Whilst poo picking my field I found a strange object in my horse's poo. It looks like part of the intestines? its about 4 inches long and was found within the horses poo.

I was brave enough (and found some latex gloves!) and broke the object apart, inside was digested horse poo with some small red cotton like things (guessing red worms)

Here is the object (sorry its not pretty!!) my vet has no idea what it is from the photo, but if anyone has seen anything like this before or know what it is I would be very grateful for some advice!!

OMG how weird ! almost looks like a foetus ! Assuming horse is healthy I would get a worm count done (not expensive - you send it away to be tested) but apart from that just keep eye on droppings to make sure healthy looking in future - could it be that it is nothing to do with the horse poo but was on the ground and horse poo happened to be on top !

Hope horse ok and u are not too traumitised by finding alien foetus in your field !!
 
wow, that is weird, would be thinking same that hasnt come out of horse, surely your vet would recognise? be interesting to send it to a clinic of some kind for 'post mortem'? just for your own peace of mind, good luck:)
 
Looks like the stomach of a rabbit. I don't think it has been through your horse. More likely it's been buried in the poo by a fox or stoat for 'laters'.

It's definitely not another animal, it was in the horses poo and is full of horse poo which suggests it was passed through the horse!! the sack is like intestines so god knows!!

OOOO it could be!! rabbits eat hay/grass. I assumed it was horse poo it could just be contents of rabbit stomach!!
 
I'm still definately thinking alien foetus !!!! maybe disguised as a rabbits stomach ! - how clever !!!!!! wonder what the full grown aliens look like !!!! yuk
 
def looks like a unhairy mole as they eat worms it would poss have poo inside in attemt to eat what ever it was eating in th poo.
if u have a college nr by ring them to ask if they would like to do a autopsy with there students to c what it is.
 
To me it looks like a premature hairless rabbit. It is possible that a fox got it placed it in field and horse just pooed on it.

I have a fox near me and always finding remains of chicken and rabbit around field and in horses poo. ONCE I found a chicken leg with foot still attached actualy stuck out the poo like a flag pole:eek::eek:
