Hi there, can't believe I'm actually typing this out and asking the question, but this is something that I have quietly wondered about for years! and it's always more noticeable once I've clipped...
My horse, who I've owned for 15 years, has one white fetlock. This white fetlock is always hairier than his other three black/brown fetlocks. He doesn't have a feather, but this white fetlock grows just enough extra so it's noticeable. Why would this be?!
