STRANGE QUESTION????

this year im putting my mares in foal i think ive made my desision of cornet obolensky(if i can find the semen) and one other stallion but im really paranoid and as this is my first time with ai this is my question.....how can you be sure that when you pay your stud fee which mine will be from £1400~£1600 im expecting to pay how do i know that the semen ive paid for is the semen i get and my mare gets i know cornet obolensky is popular with the public but how can i be sure that it isnt swapped for muffin the mule

i know it sounds a ridicilous question but in the back of my mind it surely could be easy for someone(dishonest)to do???what are your thoughts
 
This would hardly happen, especially when using stallions of this quality. The straws are well marked and the documentation has to be correct.

If you had a foal and did a DNA test (which most European Studbooks ask for now)and it turned out not to be that stallion then there would be hell to pay, so it is something I would not worry about, especially if you are going with a reputable stud or company, as they are hardly going to ruin their reputation.
 
have you spoke to world class stallions as they have a flask going over for cornet oblensky semen in mid march but you need to pre order it, and as for price of his stud fee i found a site saying it was only 1000euros :s

[/ QUOTE ]o not i havent spoke to them i will try and ring tommorow i tryed friday but no body answered is this the site you saw? http://www.gestuetligges.de/englisch/hengste/cornetobolensky_eng.html not sure how old this site is and there arent any contact numbers mmm weird
