Strange reins?

I bought a 2nd hand bridle recently (Lemetex) and it had odd looking reins, sort of a cross between continental webbing and rubber, it is as though there is rubber woven into them. Exceedingly grippy and easy to hold but severa people have what they are called because they want some. Any ideas?

I had some and they are good but don't ever use them without gloves - they really burn your skin if the horse is heavy in your hand! No idea what they are called though!!

They are my favourite reins!!!
I just call them hunting reins

I have this type of reins and they are fab- all the grip of rubber reins without the bulk!

Anyone have any idea what the difference is between the two different Collegiate suregrip reins at £19.99 and £24.99?

(need a new pair!)
