Yesterday Miles had a small very slight swelling, inside of near fore. It is slight and not overly obvious but looks a bit strange to me, it was literally a 2inch square 'patch' of swelling from the bone across to just before the tendon...the swelling didnt seem to extend to the tendon. Its also about 2/3 of the way up so quite low to be ligament swelling. Its just a bit weird, havent ever actually seen swelling that 'concentrated' to a small area before. So im hoping its just minor such as hes bumped himself or is throwing a splint. There was very little heat and he was perfectly sound so cold hosed, walked him out, cold hosed again and bandaged for the night. Havent seen him yet today but will do straight from work, YO hasnt been in touch so might have disappeared by now! Im having serious paranoia because everything seems to be breaking at the moment so am aware I could be totally overreacting! I just know that ligament damage etc very rarely shows lameness with such little amount of swelling. Any ideas??
Oh and he was also shod saturday, can be a bit of a buggar and pull back from the tripod sending rasps flying so if it is a bump could quite easily have happened then!
