my 3yo gelding has creamy looking white stuff after he wees its watery but leaves an oily white/cream stain on his rubber matting he wees normally and doesnt seem to be in any discomfort
any ideas on what it could be and should i call the vet?

Are you sure it's not just bubbles because he's weeing on a fairly hard surface from a reasonable height? If mine ever had to go on concrete it would be foamy because of air bubbles when it hit the ground.

if you are concerned you let him wee in a bucket and then poor it into a glass jar and check it out,it should be yellowish and clear,if its dark and cloudy just contact the vet ,take a new sample and let them test it. But i do agree with chestnut cob.

Horses excrete quite a lot of calcium in their urine, which forms crystals. It is totally normal for horses urine to appear cloudy/contain sediment due to this. Provided your horse is urinating normally I wouldn't worry.

sounds normal to me or my horse has been ill for 8 years! - worth checking for cloudiness but most have residue and I think we all have white bits on our rubber mats!
