STRANGE??

my friends horse has went really lame under saddle, vet came today and she is completely 100% sound on a trot up, flexion tests, no heat, no lumps or bumps, back is absolutely fine but then when she rode her she was terribley lame, she could hardly move! any ideas????

is there any chance that the saddle doesn't fit and that it nips her back at all? i know you say her back is fine but maybe it is until the saddle is on?

no saddle has been checked and is fine, shes so severly lame under saddle she can hardly move!

hiya have you tried riding her bare back yet to definately rule out the saddle so then you know nothing is nipping her or digging in ? Also Is she still lame when you trot her up with just her saddle on and no rider ?

Is she lame when tacked up and mounted? Or just with saddle on its own, if she goes lame when mounted its almost def a saddle is imo, try lunging her saddled up.

been to the specialist today and he thinks its her pelvis
