I can now give the details about he strangles
Its on the Quorn/Barrow upon soar border
one horse confirmed and another possible case but its doubtful she has it
a friend is on the infected yard so i can keep all people updated if they want.
Thanks
Mosh x

the one that has it is less than 2 years old but has it around his tail...i'm not sure if his prognoisis is good or not, I thought the younger they have it, the worse it is or something.
the other possible horse is my friends horse

some people are handling it well disinfecting, isolating etc.
The infected horses owner isn't and keeps contaminating the whole yard, ie leaving gloves around, stroking other horses, not dipping her feet and letting her dogs wonder around all the stables....
i'm just hoping for the best.

I know it must be heartbreaking to see your youngster with strangles, but it's so irresponsible to risk contaminating other horses isn't it?! Do you know I think some owners aren't horse lovers at all, they only care about their own, they don't look at the wider picture.Won't be helping the ill horse at all will it,he needs tlc and a stress free environment poor thing.

Really hope your friends' horse or the others don't come down with full blown strangles and the youngster doesn't get any worse.Horrible disease.
