Strangles in Northampton area?

Hello

Just wondering if anyone knows anything about a rumour that a number of large livery yards / riding schools close to Northampton have got strangles?

I am entered for a riding club dressage competition tonight - in two minds about whether it is worth the risk.

Please PM me if you have heard anything that you don't want to put on the open forum.

Our Yard Manager told us tonight to (or asked us) not to compete at Witham Villa leicestershire as apparently the yard next door to this has strangles..... Whilst this was the topic of conversation, another livery mentioned that a show she was going to this weekend near Wellingborough has also been cancelled as a yard close to them also has it!

It seems that there is another outbreak doing the rounds..... Anyone confirm these rumours?
