message on my FB from Blackdown equine vets Totnes there is strangles in Ivybridge area. Lots asked them to be more specific but they haven't. Take care those down that way.

Ohh noh.
Wonder where exactly? There is a RDA Centre at Ivybridge, got my lovely old girl from there, hope they're not affected as it would be very unsettling indeed for the Clients.

Further to above: Blackdown Vets have a FB page and there is information there which has a "Share" facility.
Obviously because of client confidentiality the vets are not free to disclose where the outbreak might be.
A good few years ago now my horse was on a yard where there was a suspected Strangles outbreak and it was awful for everyone involved. Luckily nothing was confirmed but it was just horrible. So PLEASE can everyone be sensitive.

The yard name has been announced by the owner on there local village page to alert the people around there im not going to release the name out of respect as its a very difficult time for them, But be assured all horses are contained and it is a private farm the owners are very aware to the people who are nearby and they have made necessary precautions to send messages to there nearby yards and people
