I have heard that Longwood EC has got confirmed strangles.

This is not a scare munger post, just my personal opinion....
Therefore I'd like to make it aware to all riders to be on their guard as I dare say the majority of those that competed there last weekend will be attending Norton Heath this weekend.
Having had strangles in one of my horses before (and a pony on the yard that had been caught whilst at a show) i can safely say I will not be attending Norton Heath due to the high risk and the fact that last weekend it wasnt confirmed so people will have not know that the bacteria was there. Remember that this nasty killer diesease takes approx 14days to show signs!!!
I will post this in the Competition Room as well for max. coverage.
