it appears that there is a confirmed case of Strangles close to Desborough in Northamptonshire.

Yard next to our field has strangles (chester). T
ook my pony there at the weekend for a weeks livery as I need to use the facilities. They failed to tell me they have strangles (found out myself - they didn't tell me). Poor pony is now stuck in quarantine on free full livery.
Can you imagine how angry I am?

There are apparnetly a few confirmed cases in the Calne area, I believe cherhill, coulston and sadly quite a few suspected cases. I'd check with your vet,see if they can help.
