There is an interesting article in the racing post about a breakthrough for a strangles vaccine. Has anyone read it?

Prof Andrew Waller, head of bacteriology at the Animal Health Trust..."We've already developed better ways of diagnosing exposure to the infection, and now, with the success of creating a safe and effective vaccine, it looks as if we're finally bringing together the tools necessary to eradicate this terrible disease."

Well I will wait and see .I paid for all my horses to have the last one about 5 times and then they found it no good. Last month I had a strangles scare when my yearling had a wound under her chin that got infected and the vet made me have a strangles test . It came back inconclusive and then we had to wait another 10 days and have another which came back the same[ so apparently that is ok]
I have no faith in them at all.
