stratagy for the horse industry

Afraid that this is old news. I was there at one of the meetings when Alan Michael was Minister, and he said that everyone was amazed to find out how much the "Horse Industry" was worth to the economy, apart from racing and bloodstock.

It was a good positive idea, but is probably not top of the list for new Government.

(I know that lots of people didn't like the previous Government because of the Hunting Act, but certainly in the first term, they put £millions into the rural economy, including the Countryside Stewardship Permissive Bridlepaths, one of which I rode on this morning,
and made County Councils have Local Access Forums and draw up Rights of Way Improvement Plans, and backed by money. Which is why this county has had several new bridlepath bridges installed, some after xxxxxxxx years of waiting.)
