Anyone going? Been before?

Wondering about how big the jumps are going to be and if there will be the chance of a nice long canter?

It's the 1st one so not sure anyone will have been before, but I'd imagine (knowing the grounds a little) that there will be some lovely cantering. No idea of the jump heights, but it does say they are optional, and as there's only 25 over 10 miles I'm sure there'll be some good long canter stretches.

Daughter has been eyeing this up for months (she rides at Wellington) and would love to have gone but she has no-one to go with.

It sounds really lovely so I'm sure you'll have a great time.
 
Ah thats a shame! I ride at welly and share a horse there.

How old is your daughter? Could consider taking a well experienced child round with us!
 
ooh, i've been eyeing this up to!
would love to go but have no one to go with and no transport. will have to get myself organised as also want to go jumping at welly the following week.
mmm think i may have to bite the bullet and go horsebox hunting!

Lovely thought thank you but she's only just 10, and tbh not had the experience of doing this type of organised ride, although she's been on 2-3 hour hacks before now with friends, so although quite experienced as a rider she isn't going to be up to your speed (only an 11.2 pony), not much experience of xc courses either. I had been hoping her friend with same size pony would be about but they went on holiday. Will pm you anyway, she's riding at Welly tomorrow if you are about...maybe next year she'd have a bigger ride
