The good, the hideous and the fun fun fun!

Minor panic when lorry went kaput just as we went to leave.

Luckily tame mechanic was in the next village & detoured to patch us up & send us off.

Anyway got there eventually!

Dressage, warmed up lovely did a very nice test for him felt 33/34 so was dissapointed with 37. but very pleased with how well behaved he was.

SJ, less said better, 2 refusals, 1 my fault one his & 3 down plus 5 time = 25!!! SJ bootcamp here we come :hmm:

XC -Napped badly in to one, so I smacked kicked & growled & he went oops sorry Mum. Flew 2, house & 3 drop at 4. Log at 5 & table at 6. 7ab step up to palisade easy peasy, ski jump at 8 backed off river crossing but not too badly. Locked on to skinny at 9ab.

Didn't look at ditch palisade which had an alternative. brilliant through angled triple at 11.

12 step up hedge which Official 'tog was at.
13 stable yard with collie teddies in kennel, sailed it. 14 log before water in pics. hedge after water he flew then home over 16-19 and added a jump over a large puddle!

Home clear & inside the time.

Thrilled, he felt amazing, no napping the whole way round and felt like he really enjoyed it.

Now to get the bloomin sj sorted!

Well done, shame about showjumping though, its my bad bit too! Photos are great, and your horse is lovely.

Hoping to give BE a go maybe next year, was looking at Figjam's course photos in her post - may be I might start with Strathallan as its not quite as bad as I thought it would be.

Thanks all. I had no idea Mr FJ had taken SJ ones until later.

I also have no idea why I was smiling and I don't remember smiling!

Well done Nic01, shame about the SJ but I watched a lot of it and it seemed to cause carnage! Were your 2 stops at the red fence down the bottom, seemed to cause most of the problems for some reason!

What a stunning boy you have. Sounds like you had a great time X-C, well done & the SJ will come.

Isn't Mr FigJam good. He took a pile for me at Oatridge and I love them. We'll have to all park fairly close at Scone (either that or ask for our times to be one after the other!!) I'm sure FigJam doesn't really need his services as groom!!!

Oi you lot, I'm not going to be able to squeeze into the house alongside him soon his ego is going to get too big!

As I've just discovered Scone is indeed running the BE90 on Saturday instead of Sunday, I've "booked" him to come along!
wink.gif

He can only stay until about 5.30pm at the latest though I'm afraid as he has a gig he is taking photos at in the evening back in Edinburgh, so we just need to hope we're running XC before 5pm!

Looking forward to a good HHO catch up with you all there.

They were at the red wall coming towards the stands & the green Strathallan fence because I rode straight past it!

Not anymore I'm afraid. Sarah Oakden posted on here last night saying that due to low entries, they were running both the BE90 & BE100 on the Sat and cutting Friday.

Probably on page 2 or 3 now, or search through my posts as I posted on it last night.

Edited to add link to her thread- Scone 2 announcement on HHO

Are you still able to make it?

Nope. At what point are BE going to introduce a Scottish membership rate coz so far my season has halved

how are amateurs supposed to make plas when events change at 10 days notice. Farce.

Hell yeah, I'm on my soap box!

However Mum's just cheered me up, we're now camping on-site for Blair. WOOHOO.

So look out for wee orange VW camper or the lorry we had on Sunday.

PS you seen your prof photos yet? I prefer Mr FJ's, although the hedge looks nice & big
wink.gif

Ha ha, try writing them an email or letter now while you have the steam?!

Cool that you're onsite too for Blair, will need to pack the giant gazebo/marquee for sitting under and having a blether in the evening?! (and I bet your Dad's saying "see, that ebay purchase IS handy"!
wink.gif
)

Yeah, saw the peak photos. At least he picked a decent sized fence, not quite convinced of the angle, prefer the more front on shots but I guess from that side the fence looks beefier! I'm definitely spoilt by Mr FigJam!

My position in the first is horrendous though!
blush.gif
You pair are looking good over it.
smile.gif

Yes, but remember you can't possibly brush through brush fences?!
smirk.gif
Actually, that didn't feel like a big stand off (all relative I guess!), certainly nothing like what she was doing in the SJ warm up- jumping the muddy take off points as well as the fences!
