We have had two Stravinksy fillies with us this year....one of madmare22's and one of Ashbank's (see the above posts!), both have been cracking little fillies with great temperaments. He certainly stamps his stock.
If you see Stravinsky he may appear not as impressive as some, he's an old chap now and often at the stallion shows he is up against some stallions far younger and often chunky warmbloods. His performance record (being successful at the highest level in multiple disciplines), the fact that he is approved for breeding with many warmblood studbooks and the quality of his stock speak for themselves though I feel.
he is indeed an old boy now and it really annoys me when people have a go about him being a little stiff behind, i loved him so much i tried to repeat the breeding, sadly to no avail but i do have 2 other mares in foal to him this year, both very different but he does seem to stamp his stock and produce quality whatever he is crossed with

As far as I know, he started his breeding career in the Netherlands, went to Denmark, was a few years in Sweden and was then exported to the UK?
I got my eyes on him when he was in Denmark, got really really impressed by his movements. He really moved in a way that I (from a dressage background) would like a TB to move. Very good hindlegs, supple, good rhythm. Maybe not that easy for a Swede to explain in English
.
In Denmark, he competed up to MA/Prix St Georges if I remember it correctly. I think he was placed or won at regional level. I've really seen him as a dressage stallion.
Has he really competed that much in other disciplines? Where and when?
I was expecting super progeny from him, that he really would give good dressage horses. I've seen a few but nothing that has impressed me, I'm sorry to say.
