Straw - Kent peeps

Does anyone know a good straw supplier in Kent and what they charge??

Got one lady who charges £1 but will only take a massive delivery from the whole yard and no-one is ready to order yet.

I am about to face the same problem - going back onto straw (after bedmax) when my horse can be turned out after 6 weeks boxrest. At our yard there is nowhere to store any straw and I want to buy a pallet!

Not sure where you are in Kent but check Wealden Advertiser (on the net) because there are two places offering straw in that. One is a Staplehurst number and can deliver - but sounds like you can pick bales up as your require. Or try Pegasus and Horsemart free papers. Hope this helps.

Thanks for that, will have a look. Was going to try and get a pegasus at the weekend to see what they had in there.

There is a place down the road that delivers (and on a weekend too

) but they are double the price

try looking in pegasus / hoofbeat all the freebie mags they normally advertise in there

I spoke to that farm last night and their bales are 1.50 if you collect your own..
