Hi, wondering if anyone has any experience of straw pellets? I've been using wood pellets for a couple of years now but wonder if there are advantages in using straw pellets? I've heard that straw is more absorbent and that it breaks down quicker but I'm concerned that they may be even more dusty than wood pellets? Any advice most welcome. Thanks

they are more absorbent and do break down quicker. I'm not sure they are more dusty than woodpellets-any bedding left down long enough gets dusty. I have internal stabling and did water my beds down in the hottest weather, in the winter they were fine. I prefer miscanthus pellets to the normal straw tbh, a little less dark in colour.

we have been using both straw and miscanthus pellets for a few years and find them much more absorbent than wood pellets. The straw pellets break down quickly while the miscanthus pellets are similar to wood pellets, but we find them definitely less dusty than the wood pellets we used to use, which were made from sawdust....
