Took the ginger one (my spare for next year
) to dressage yesterday. I will be riding her next year but I only ride her about once a month at the moment. She spends most of her time doing endurance and, although she's done some dressage before, she hasn't done it for about a year.
Walk/trot test first. She went really well for me, a little spooky but she felt really good. There were only about 7/8 in each class but I was pleased with 59.8% for 3rd (winner got 63%). There were a couple of 7s but mostly 5s and 6s. The comments included lots of 'hollowing'
I was suprised since she felt good but looking at the photos, she was very hollow. The judge said:
"Some quite pleasing paces and could do a very good test but at present rather hollow and needs to be ridden into a shorter rein contact, shows some promise"

Prelim 10, I found this one hard since it's quite twisty and turny. After the last test I shortened up my reins! She warmed up better but then was awful down the first centre line
Really crooked and all over the place! But she improved as the test went on and we got 7s for our changing the rein in canter
.Got third place with 56% (winner on 61%) Judge said:
"Some quite nice paces shown but tending to be rather stiff behind and hollowing. Quite nicely ridden"

So basically I don't know what I'm doing and need to have some lessons!!!
CC please - they haven't captured her best moments, she is very unsteady in her contact and goes from lovely to poo and back again - probably because I am **** so help required!!
Thanks for reading
